Lexington family raising money for home for Haitian family

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Dozens of people came out Sunday to a fundraiser at Banners on Boston Road for a Haitian family.

A Lexington family is trying to raise enough money to build a new home for their Haitian sponsor son Fritznel and his family.

Lexington mom Holly Chatting says she’s been able to visit the family in Haiti for the last two years.

Chatting says she has always asked Fritznel what he would want if he could have anything. He’s always told her he wants a bed and a place to sleep.

When she visits again this spring, Chatting says she would love to make her sponsor son’s dream come true.

She needs to raise a bit more than $5,000 dollars.
