KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Knox County Sheriff’s Department confirms it is investigating social media threats made against the county’s school system.

“We will work diligently to keep the students, staff, and school system safe. We take threats of any kind seriously. As always please feel free to contact Knox County 911 if you see or hear anything concerning this issue,” a Facebook post said.

It goes on to say the Sheriff’s Department is working with the school system, Superintendent Sprinkles, and the Kentucky State Police.

The Nicholasville Police Department just made two arrests after an overnight investigation into social media threats against the Jessamine County school district.
