FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- Nominations for the 2018 Kentucky Outstanding Civic Education Leadership Award are now being accepted.
Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes’ Office will be accepting nominations until March 6th.
The award is a way to recognizes school administrators, teachers, legislators, and community leaders who have dedicated time and effort toward the success of Kentucky’s youth and future leaders.
The winner of the award will received a $1,000 prize that they can use to further civic learning activities.
There will be one finalist selected from each Kentucky High School Athletic Association region.
Each of those winners will received a $250 award.
The grand prize winner and finalists will be recognized during the KHSAA Boy’s Sweet 16 Basketball Tournament in Lexington in March.

This award is sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of State along with the Administrative Office of the Courts and the Kentucky Department of Education.
