Man found in roadway with gunshot wound

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police stumbled upon a gunshot victim this morning around 1 a.m.

They were originally sent out for a man in the roadway on Old Clubhouse Lane and Versailles Road.

He had a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the left leg.

He told police it was drug-related.

He and a friend went to buy drugs from someone at an apartment outside of Lexington.

He wouldn’t tell police where, but he did say the man took his money and shot him.
