Pedestrian killed in Clark Co. crash


WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ)- New information On a man hit and killed by a car Friday in Clark County.

The Clark County Sheriff says 49-year-old Archie Godwin was walking in the southbound lane of Irvine Road near Pilot View Road when a car crashed into him.

That driver told investigators he didn’t see Godwin soon enough, swerved, but couldn’t miss him.

The Sheriff says there won’t be charges since it was an accident.

Godwin died at the scene.

The driver wasn’t hurt, but was taken to the hospital for a toxicology screen.
