KSP investigate shooting in Carlisle Co.

ALRINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting Wednesday in Carlisle County.

State Police say preliminary investigation showed Robert Ballard, 49, and Ronald Williams, 43, were involved in an altercation at a home on Highway 1591. They say during the altercation, Robert Ballard was shot.

Ballard of Bardwell was flown from the scene to an area hospital.

Williams of Bardwell was arrested and charged with First Degree Assault, six counts of First Degree Wanton Endangerment, and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, according to State Police.

Williams was taken to the Ballard County Jail.



Richard Wright, 48, was arrested and charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, First Degree Wanton Endangerment, Second Degree Wanton Endangerment, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Wright was also taken to the Ballard County Jail.
