FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Illinois-based business is building a new plant in Kentucky and it’s expected to create 120 new jobs.
Governor Matt Bevin announced Wednesday that Tru-Tone Finishing Inc., a family owned provider of industrial e-coating, will establish its new facility in Lexington.
In addition to the plant in Illinois, it also operates a plant in Brownsville, Texas.
The company says it wants to expand its business in the Southeast and building a facility in Kentucky allows it to do that.
The Lexington facility will also make it possible to reach parts of the Midwest and East.
Bevin says the company will start production out of an existing 70,000-square-foot building on Baker Court before moving into the new plant.
Ultimately, the Lexington plant will operate three, 35-employee shifts.
