White Plains man facing charges after pursuit

Nortonville, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is in jail, facing charges after Kentucky State Police received a complaint of a reckless driver in Nortonville.

KSP says the incident happened Sunday afternoon just after 5:30.

Troopers were able to locate the vehicle on US Highway 62 East, just outside of the city.

According to KSP, a trooper activated his emergency equipment in attempt to stop the vehicle, but the driver, identified as Christopher M. Kennedy, 25, of White Plains, did not stop.

The pursuit ended when KSP says the operator turned onto KY 813 in White Plains, and into a driveway.

KSP says Kennedy was then arrested without further incident.

Kennedy was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center and, according to KSP, is charged with the following:

1.)   Failure to Illuminate Head Lamps

2.)   Failure to Wear Seatbelt

3.)   Reckless Driving

4.)   No Operator’s License

5.)   Fleeing and Evading Police Motor Vehicle 2nd Degree

6.)   DUI
