MANCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two women are dead after a fire broke out at a trailer in Manchester early Monday morning.
According to the Clay County Coroner,the fire happened around 3:30 a.m. at a trailer on Pawpaw Road.
The coroner identified the victims as Jessica Duff, 36, and Salina Duff, 42. According to the coroner, the two victims are sisters.
The sisters’ father, Dennis Duff, was also inside the trailer at the time of the fire, but the coroner says he escaped safely.
The coroner says the sisters’ bodies were found in the bedroom of the trailer.
According to the coroner, both fire and law enforcement tried to get the women out of the house, but were unsuccessful.
The coroner says the victims bodies have been sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
The fire is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
