FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – First Lady Glenna Bevin launches the 2018 Kentucky Derby Poster Contest online.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky Office of the First Lady says high school students across the state will have the chance to create the Governors Derby Poster, to be on display in the State Capitol.
The First Lady asks students to design the poster how they see the Kentucky Derby looking in their eyes.
The office says the three contest finalists will be invited to attend a luncheon at the Governors Mansion on March 10th, where the winner will be announced.
The winner will get the chance to attend the Kentucky Derby Festival Luncheon and will receive a $500 scholarship. Second place will receive a $300 scholarship and third palce a $200 schoalrship from #WeAreKY, Inc. Foundation, officials say.
The deadline to submit the poster is February 28th. For more details, visit firstlady.ky.gov.
