Black ice warning in Laurel County

Crooked Creek Road in Laurel County, snow covered and slick 1-17-18

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is warning drivers roadways that were wet earlier may now be freezing, causing a black ice condition.

Deputies say drivers should be aware this black ice condition is very serious, making roadways in Laurel County very slick and dangerous. They say traffic crashes have been occurring.

Deputies will be on patrol to assist drivers.
