Surveillance video released in gun shop burglary


OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Investigators release surveillance video from a recent burglary at a Daviess County, Kentucky gun store.

Video from inside Whittaker Guns in West Louisville shows four people broke in to the store and took 40 to 50 guns and a rifle. It happened early Wednesday morning.

The suspects broke through a front window and smashed several cases. Detectives say the store had dozens of high definition security cameras inside their store.

“We like having video, pictures, things like that,” said Detective Brad Youngman. “In this day and age, capabilities is getting better and better all the time, and this some of the best we’ve ever had to go off of.”

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is helping sheriff’s deputies in the investigation. Anyone with information should call the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office at (270) 685-8444.
