PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) The Perry County Sheriff Department is looking for the owner of dogs found abandoned at a mobile home and house on Tuesday.
The department says it received a call about dogs left at a abandoned mobile home and house at 316 and 328 Lewis Hollow Road in Viper.
Deputies say when they arrived on the scene, they found one of the dogs dead in an old dog house, chained to a tree with no food.
They found another dog running around outside of the abandoned mobile home and two dogs inside the mobile home without food or water.
Animal took the three dogs that were alive to the Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter in Hazard.
An arrest warrant was issued on the owner of the dogs, Michael Lewis, for four counts of cruelty to animals.
