Frankfort Police work 5 non-injury collisions in an hour

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Frankfort Police Department is urging everyone to stay off the roads, if at all possible.

According to a post on their Facebook page, they have worked five non-injury collisions in just an hour.

They say Thornhill Bypass is very hazardous and cars are not able to make it up the hill. They are waiting on tow trucks now, the police say.

Their post says road crews are out right now but it will take several passes down the same stretch of road when ice is involved.

Police encourage you to use caution if you must be out on the roads.
