LINCOLN COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A crash Monday afternoon in Lincoln County killed three people, according to State Police.
Investigators say it happened on US 150, approximately two miles east of Stanford around 12:40 p.m.
State Police say the initial investigation indicates a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon was traveling east on US 150 when the driver pulled out to pass another vehicle and collided head-on with a 1998 Toyota T-100 pickup truck.
All three people in the Hyundai Tiburon were killed, according to KSP. No names were immediately released.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville suffering from non-life threatening injuries, according to State Police.
The affected stretch of US 150 was closed most of the afternoon as accident reconstruction specialists investigated the deadly collision.
