LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – All westbound lanes of I-64 in Fayette County reopened shortly before midnight Tuesday after being closed due to an accident, according to the state.
Investigators say a commercial vehicle collided with an abandoned car on the westbound side near mile marker 73, which led to the temporary closure of the right lane.
The commercial vehicle ended up on its side off the right side of the interstate in a rock-cut, according to the state.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m.
An environmental team was called to the scene along with the Lexington Fire Department and Lexington Police.
