The Garrard County Animal Shelter is putting out a “code red” plea for adoptions, help and supplies after taking in several animals from a hoarding case. The shelter’s Facebook page says they took in 23 animals from a hoarding case, both dogs and cats.
They say they have zero kennels open and will have to euthanize if they don’t make room ASAP.
Shelter officials say they are overwhelmed by the situation and need supplies.
They say the facility is hoping to match the rescued animals with permanent homes.
The shelter is located at 210 Doty Lane in Lancaster.
