GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A truck hauling 43,000 pounds of crankshafts overturned in a crash Monday night, closing outbound Paynes Depot Road at US 62 Bypass (McClelland Circle) in Scott County, according to the state.
The accident happened around 7:00 p.m.
Officials say motor oil and antifreeze spilled at the crash site, creating an additional cleanup for crews.
Investigators say no injuries were reported.
As of 9:30 p.m., officials were still estimating the road would be closed for another 3-to-4 hours as crews worked to clean up the spill, debris and to get the truck upright in order to be towed away.
