UK defeats Centre 106-63 in final exhibition game

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky concluded its exhibition season with a 106-63 victory over Centre College Friday night in Rupp Arena.

Five Wildcats scored in double figures, led by Wenyen Gabriel with 20.  Centre had two players in double figures, led by Perry Ayers with 14.

Kentucky led 52-24 at the half before an official Solid Blue crowd of 20,378.

Unlike Kentucky’s last game against Morehead State when the Wildcats were outrebounded 30-to-25, UK dominated the boards against the Colonels 52-to-17.

The Cats took 14 three-point shots and hit eight.  Centre shot just 8-of-27 from beyond the arc.

Kentucky shot just over 61-percent from the field, while Centre managed just 38-percent.

The Wildcats tip-off the regular season a week from tonight, Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. when they host Utah Valley University at Rupp Arena.  The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
