LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect charged with a Lexington murder, who was captured out of state, has been returned and jailed.
According to the Office of the Fayette County Sheriff, deputies brought 35-year old Valenti Ware back to Lexington from the Polk County, Iowa Jail on Thursday.
Ware was arrested in Des Moines by the U.S. Marshals Service Southern Iowa Fugitive Task Force.
He’s charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence in the death of Meghan Acord.
Her body was found October 1 near the railroad tracks in the Loudon Avenue and Eastland Drive area in Lexington.
Police think Ware and Acord knew each other.
Ware is in the Fayette County Detention Center.
