LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It wasn’t a pizza one Papa John’s delivery driver handed over Wednesday night – it was the keys to his car.
Lexington police say someone called in an order and gave an address on Cornerstone Drive.
When the driver showed up and got out of his car, three men approached him – one with a handgun.
They demanded his money and the keys to his car. He gave them some cash and his keys.
The men drove off in his 2010 dark gray Honda Accord.
Police say the driver left his cell phone in the car and they were tracking it for a while, but someone turned the phone off.
They also say the people at the home the driver was called to had no involvement in the robbery.
Police are trying to track the owner of the cell phone used to place the order.
