Police say a man came in with a bandanna over his face and charged toward the clerk. He tried to grab the cash register but could not get it and left the store.

Witnesses say they think he got into a dark passenger car and left.

Then at 9:43 p.m., police say a man went into the Meijer gas station on Sir Barton Way wearing a black scarf around his face and carrying a metal pipe.

They say he demanded cash from the register and left when he got it.

Police are reviewing surveillance video.
