LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – While we might be warm and cozy right now, some people in the community are worrying about those who aren’t.
One Lexington homeless shelter is already at full capacity.
The director of the Catholic Action Center says she’s seeing a startling increase in homelessness in Lexington.
“We have 130 beds, they are all full. This is a problem because they have been full all through the summer. So what is going to happen through the depths of the winter is yet to be seen.”
Ginny Ramsey says Catholic Action Center staff will be meeting with other organizations this week to discuss how best to serve people this winter.
