LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A motorist alerted the driver of an RV that the car it was pulling was on fire along I-75 in Fayette County Monday afternoon.

The fire department says the people in the RV had no idea the Toyota Camry it was pulling was engulfed in flames.  The car was destroyed, according to fire investigators.

It happened on southbound I-75 near Exit 113, between Newtown Pike and Paris Pike.

No one was hurt, according to the fire department.

All southbound lanes were temporarily closed while the fire was extinguished and the scene cleaned up, which led to a traffic backup.  All lanes reopened around 4:00 p.m.
