Police: Man arrested for stabbing someone at gas station


LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – London Police arrested a man on Saturday for stabbing a bystander at a gas station, according to police.

Police say 30-year-old Robert Collins took a 20 oz Mountain Dew without paying from the Shell gas station on Ky-192.

According to authorities Collins returned hours later irritated and was asked to leave by the manager.

That’s when they say he pulled out a pocket knife and began waving it around.

Police say a bystander began to help the manager with removing Collins from the store.

A scuffle broke out and the bystander was cut with the knife, according to investigators.

Police say Collins then left the scene but was located and arrested at his residence.

He was charged with second-degree assault, according to detectives.
