LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was shot in Lexington near a school, where a football game was being played.
According to Lexington police, someone fired shots in the front parking lot at Southern Middle School Thursday, around 7:45 p.m. Bullets hit several vehicles and the school was put on lockdown.
Police say later in the evening, a 20-year-old man showed up at the hospital with a gun shot wound. They describe the injury as non-life-threatening.
Police say the man, who is not from Kentucky, is not being cooperative and not providing any information regarding the incident.
