LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington opened its first permanent sprayground Monday in Masterson Station Park.
The new sprayground, located by the new playground, features over a dozen spray features, including a giant dump bucket and water cannons.
The sprayground is open to all ages and free to the public. It will be open through mid-October, on days when temperatures reach above 70 degrees.
This is the first of four permanent spraygrounds the city is planning. In addition to Masterson, there will be spraygrounds at Jacobson, Douglass and Castlewood. All three are expected to open next summer.
