LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A local firefighter, who’s has been putting out fires in Lexington for years has made the decision to re-enlist in the army reserves.
Firefighter and Master Sergeant Rollie Brown signed the paperwork and took the oath of officers on Wednesday.
But that decision will not get in the way of his job with the Lexington Fire Department.
“This job is probably the most pro military job that there could be. both the Lexington fire department AND the administration and as well as the Lexington Fayette county government, if I needed anything, if I’ve needed to be off on short notice.. there’s never been an issue at all.”
Brown says he’s worked for the Lexington Fire Department for 15 years.
