LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ)- A KSP Trooper was involved in a single-vehicle accident that shut down northbound lanes of I-75 Tuesday morning.
Kentucky State Police Post 11, London say they got a call from KSP Trooper Houston Lewis just after 9 Tuesday morning.
Trooper Lewis advised the post that he had been involved in a single-vehicle crash near the 41 miles marker on I-75 in Laurel County.
When troopers arrived on scene, shortly after receiving the call, they found Trooper Lewis trapped inside his patrol car, which was approximately 150 feet over an embankment in a wooded area.
Trooper Lewis was removed from the vehicle and flown to UK Medical Center to be treated for his injuries. He has been listed it critical condition.
The crash is still under investigation.
