LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Obviously, an exciting win for solid blue fans. Tailgaters set up all around Kroger Field Saturday afternoon. In true solid blue fan fashion, they grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, had some drinks, and celebrated in good company.
One woman whom people call the ‘mayor of tailgate town’ says, for her, it’s all about making tailgates something for the whole family.
“We’ve all got tons of kids running around and everybody kind of looks out for everybody. It’s like family and friends because you get to see everybody and it may be the only time of year that you see them, but for these 6 or 7 home games, it’s nice.”
Johnson says she will be out tailgating from sun up to sun down, any day the Cats are playing in Lexington.
