COLUMBIA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A pool of water on the road is being blamed for an accident that left a vehicle overturned and three people sent to the hospital in Adair County, according to State Police.
Investigators say 38-year old Kelly Crawhorn, of Columbia, was driving westbound on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway early Friday morning when she hit a pool of water on the road after overtaking a semi. State Police say she lost control of her 2013 Dodge Journey, went into the median and overturned before coming to a rest in the eastbound lane.
Crawhorn and her two passengers, 9-year old Kenzy Crawhorn and 13-year old Alley Crawhorn, were taken to TJ Sampson Hospital, where they were treated and released, according to KSP.
Investigators say all three occupants were wearing a seat belt.
