Mother and baby involved in crash in Scott County

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators say the wet weather may have been a factor in a crash Friday night in Scott County that sent a mother and her baby to the hospital.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Paynes Depot Road at Moores Mill Road.

Investigators say a car dropped off the shoulder of the road, flipped and landed in a ditch.

A woman and her 14-month old child were in the car.

Passersby got the baby out of the overturned vehicle.

Investigators say the mother and child were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.  No names were released.
