LEXINGTON, KY. (WTVQ) – The suspect accused of shooting and killing 35-year-old, Steven Earl Robinson Junior, pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
Court documents say Robinson was fatally shot on August 12-th by 40-year-old, Mako Greer.
Investigators say Greer and Robinson had been involved in an on-going dispute when Robinson was shot outside the Old School Bar on East Second Street.
Robinson was found lying in the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.
Court documents say Robinson was transported to University of Kentucky Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Greer was arrested on Tuesday and is charged with murder.
Greer’s lawyers are saying it will be a self defense case.
He is being held on a $500, 000 bond and will appear in court next on August 31st.
