DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is accused of holding a woman against her will and then stabbing her as she jumped from a moving car in Boyle County.
The Boyle County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year old Brian Lainhart crashed his car into an embankment after the woman escaped and then he drove away on Saturday, August 12, 2017.
The initial report came in on Lebanon Road, according to deputies.
Investigators say the car was eventually found crashed on Persimmon Knob.
Lainhart was later found and arrested. Deputies say he was charged with assault, kidnapping, fleeing and evading police, resisting arrest and unlawful imprisonment.
He was lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.
His reported victim had to undergo surgery and was listed in stable condition, according to investigators.
Deputies say Lainhart and the woman have a child together.
