LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A London man is accused of trying to run down his wife with a truck while in violation of an active Emergency Protective Order (EPO) against him, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 59-year old Johnny Burdine tried to back his truck into his wife during a domestic dispute Friday afternoon off Maggard Road, ten miles west of London.
Investigators say Burdine’s wife dodged the truck, which hit the neighbor’s tree, causing substantial damage to the tree and the neighbor’s yard.
Deputies say reportedly there had been a physical altercation between Burdine and his wife.
He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center facing a series of charges, including assault-domestic violence and criminal mischief.
