Boil Water Advisory issued for parts of Lincoln County

MCKINNEY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Boil Water Advisory was issued for an estimated 450-customers of the McKinney Water District in Lincoln County Tuesday afternoon.

The advisory was issued at 3:47 p.m. on July 18, 2017, so repairs can be made to a main cut-off valve, according to water officials.

The advisory affects customers in the following areas:

-Neals Creek
-Highway 27

Officials say initially the water will be turned off while repairs are made. When the water is turned back on, customers in the above listed affected areas will be under the Boil Water Advisory until further notice.

Affected customers should boil all water to be used for cooking and drinking for at least three minutes.
