LPD: Shots fired during road rage incident


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police say they are looking for a vehicle and the passenger in it who fired  shots in a road rage incident that hit a house.

According to Lexington Police on Thursday afternoon a woman confronted a vehicle that she says was driving too fast on Oak Hill Drive.

The vehicle left but then returned, police say.

Investigators tell us that when it returned, a man sitting in the front passenger seat fired multiple rounds over the roof of the car toward Shawnee Avenue, which was away from the witness.

Police say the vehicle left the scene and headed toward New Circle Road.

A woman was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident, authorities say.

The vehicle is described as a grey passenger car with damage to the front passenger wheel, according to officers.

This was the fourth gunfire incident reported in the city within a 24-hour period.
