KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – State police say in April of 1985 the body of a woman was found in a rural dumpsite along U.S. 25 in Knox County.
Her body had been placed in an old refrigerator and the autopsy revealed she had been murdered, according to police.
Officials say witnesses reported seeing the unknown female the day before at a truck stop in Corbin.
She allegedly was attempting to get a ride to North Carolina, according to investigators.
Authorities say the unknown female was between the ages of 25-35 years old.
She was wearing two different necklaces, one with a heart pendant and the other with an eagle pendant, according to police.
