LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington is going to the dogs to teach children about safety.
On Monday, the city had a swearing-in ceremony for its two new service dogs, ‘Atlas,’ a Blue Merle Catahoula, and ‘Jaxon,’ a Dalmatian mix.
Atlas will teach children about how to deal with animals.
Jaxon, who was rescued from the Lexington Humane Society, will help teach fire prevention to Fayette County students.
You’ll see the city’s new four-legged employees at schools, festivals and other public events.
