LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)-It has surely been an interesting weekend at the Lexington Herald-Leader.
The paper says it’s been getting emails all weekend from a person who claims to be lawyer on the run Eric C. Conn.
According to the Herald-Leader, those emails laid out the terms of his surrender.
Conn pleaded guilty in a scheme to defraud the government of nearly 600 million dollars.
He disappeared last week, just one month before his scheduled sentencing.
The person claiming to be Conn explained to the Herald-Leader he ran because he thought it was unfair two judges also convicted would get much less prison time than he would.
