Athletes compete in Special Olympics Kentucky Summer Games


RICHMOND, Ky. (WTVQ)- It’s an exciting weekend in Richmond.

More than 15-hundred athletes from across Kentucky are facing off at the summer games at Eastern Kentucky University.

Events include track and field and swimming.

But it’s not all about the competition.

Coaches say it’s also about making friendships.

Organizers say this year’s games are one of the biggest yet.
