LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a man reported being robbed and stabbed at a baseball field Wednesday night, but called them 2-hours after the incident.
Investigators say the reported victim, whose name wasn’t released, told officers he was robbed of his food, stabbed in the thigh and possibly hit in the head at Wolf Run Park off Maywick View Lane around 7:00 p.m.
Police say they didn’t receive a call until 9:00 p.m. and found the reported victim at his apartment on Cross Keys Drive.
Investigators say the man’s injuries were minor. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
No suspect has been identified or named at this point, according to police.
