LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Traffic came to a standstill Tuesday night on southbound I-75 in Fayette County due to a three vehicle accident, according to Lexington Police.
Officers temporarily blocked the exit onto southbound I-75 from Man O War Boulevard.
All southbound lanes were closed for a short time while crews worked to remove the wrecked vehicles, according to investigators.
Police say their preliminary investigation shows a tractor-trailer collided with a pickup truck which then collided with a car near mile marker 107.
One person in the pickup was taken to the hospital with what police believe were minor injuries.
Two southbound lanes were closed for 90-minutes, according to police.
All lanes were reopened and traffic started slowly moving again around 9:40 p.m., according to police.
