VANCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) -The Lewis County Herald is reporting that a brother and sister have been charged after a pharmacy began discovering discrepancies in their drug inventories.
According to the paper, 35-year-old Jessica Dixon, who was employed at Professional Care Pharmacy in Vanceburg, and her brother, 38-year-old Thomas A. Crow, were arrested Thursday on multiple charges.
The paper says video surveillance from the business showed Dixon stealing drugs from the pharmacy.
Reportedly, authorities stopped Dixon after she left the pharmacy and stopped briefly at her brother’s home. According to the Lewis County Herald, officials found prescription medications, including oxycodone, Xanax, and Adipex, along with methamphetamine on her.
Further, the paper says an undercover informant had been buying Oxycodone from Crow.
Dixon was charged with theft by unlawful taking, possession, and trafficking offenses, while her brother was charged with trafficking and possession.
Both were taken to the Lewis County Detention Center.
According to the paper, the investigation is continuing, and additional charges are pending.
