VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ) – Woodford County EMS, along with emergency personnel from a 6-county area will get some hands-on experience learning the latest rescue techniques at a regional training event at the Woodford County Park on Saturday.
Emergency personnel will have to manage a scenario involving a school bus being hit by a train with simulated casualties.
Bluegrass Airport personnel will participate and will train on helicopter and ambulance rescue efforts.
The Bluegrass Railroad will supply the train and EMS will place a school bus on it’s side to simulate the result of a collision.
Volunteers will be on the school bus and on the train with simulated injuries.
