WAYNESBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lincoln County Sheriff says that deputies have arrested a man who they found intoxicated in the middle of the road.

The Sheriff says deputies were called to Ike Singleton Road on Wednesday, about a man standing in the road.  When they arrived, they say the found Gary Stidham, who was showing signs of being under the influence.

Deputies say they had to use force to subdue Stidham, after he refused to comply to verbal commands.

He was put in handcuffs, and then deputies searched him, finding a large amount of cash and an “unknown type of drug” hidden in an inhaler.

Stidham was charged with possession and trafficking and taken to the Lincoln County Regional Jail.
