UPDATE: Additional details on cremains found in storage unit

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn has released additional information on cremains that were found in a storage unit, in the hopes that someone from the public can help find relatives of Frank Solis.

According to the coroner, Solis, 83, was a member of the Lexington Baptist Temple, and worked as a telephone engineer.

Solis’ father was Leonardo Solis, and his mother’s name was Cello.  The coroner does not have any information on Solis’ mother’s maiden name.

Solis was born on June 5, 1929 and died on August 4, 2012.

He was married to Linda Carol Brady Solis, with whom he had a son, Leonardo “Lee” Solis.  Solis also had a sister named Becky Connell.



Solis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and served from 1948 to 1951.

His cremated remains were found in a storage unit after the rent went unpaid and the unit was sold.

Cremains found; coroner looking for next-of-kin

The Fayette County Coroner is looking for relatives of a man whose remains were found in a storage unit.

The coroner says the cremated remains of Frank Solis were found after rent on a storage unit went unpaid and the unit was sold.

Solis was born on June 5, 1929, and the coroner believes he was from Mercedes, Texas.  His last known address was in the Trout Court area of Lexington.  The coroner also says Solis was a member of the United States Air Force from 1948 to 1951.
