LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was critically injured after being hit while running across a Lexington Wednesday.
Police said the man was crossing Georgetown Road and Berea Road at 1:30 a.m. when he was hit by an SUV.
They said the man was not in a crosswalk and the driver could not avoid hitting him.
Police also said the roadway does not have highway lighting so it was dark.
They said the driver will not be charged.
The name of the pedestrian has not been released.
