FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Scott County man has pleaded guilty to possessing and distributing child pornography.
Robert Donald Jackson, 60, of Georgetown, entered a guilty plea earlier this month to 25 counts of possessing, viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor; and two counts of distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor.
The May 1, 2017, plea agreement comes after a December 2015, investigation and arrest of Jackson by the Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit, who at the time executed a search warrant at Jackson’s home in Georgetown, seizing a laptop actively downloading child pornography.
The computer also contained hundreds of files depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, according to AG cyber investigators.
A Scott County grand jury indicted Jackson Aug. 10, 2016, and he was arraigned Sept. 12, 2016. His sentencing is scheduled for 1 p.m. July 13 in Scott County Circuit Court.
