EUGENE, Ore., (WTVQ) – College Choice, an online authority in college and university rankings and resources, has published a ranking of the 25 Best Colleges in Kentucky for 2017.
The website lauds the state’s highly ranked public research universities, as well as historic and dynamic private schools. For prospective college students considering going to school in Kentucky, College Choice cites more good news: the state’s Council on Postsecondary Education has put hard limits on tuition increases at public colleges.
“Those limits should come as a relief to anyone, but especially people worried about rising tuition and the increasing cost of going to college,” Christian Amondson, Managing Editor of College Choice, said of the ranking. “So for anyone considering going to college in Kentucky, we’ve put together this list to help them parse out the best colleges and universities in the state.”
College Choice developed its list by looking at academic quality along with return on investment-the differential between tuition costs and average early career earnings. The ranking for the 25 Best Colleges in Kentucky finds Berea College in the top spot. Centre College is in second, and University of Kentucky rounds out the top three.
